Description
AquaFuge 2 Refugium
The newest AquaFuge 2 Refugium has been improved with some new features. The
back of the AquaFuge 2 is now made from black acrylic to help block light
from the refugium. A new bubble diffuser is also included that can be attached
to the output tube if excess bubbles are an issue.
The AquaFuge 2 series hang-on Refugiums come in three different sizes to
meet the needs of marine aquarists. The AquaFuge 2 are all 12" tall,
4" wide, with lengths of 12", 18", and 24". Each includes
its own powerhead and features a unique baffle system that prevents the substrate
and organisms from being disturbed while allowing enough water flow to eliminate
stagnant areas. The AquaFuge 2 provides ideal growth conditions for food items
such as copepods and amphipods, to feed invertebrates and fish in the main
tank. The AquaFuge 2 also provides a controlled growing area for macroalgae,
which can be used to reduce “nuisance” algae in the main tank
and provide a “nursery” area for a variety of organisms.
