This is the replacement Activated Carbon Filter Media for the JBJ Nano Cube. The included mesh filter bag contains over 1/2 lb of Activated Carbon. The Activated Carbon absorbs impurities in your aquarium water. Removes dissolved organic waste that can stress tropical fish and discolor your aquarium water. Activated Carbon Filter Media should be replaced every 4-6 weeks. Alternate the replacement of Activated Carbon Media with Sponge Media to maintain biological filtration. Designed for the Nano Cube aquarium filter and other filters requiring activated carbon.
