Cutting Reef FragPod I & II
FragPods are the easiest and most versatile way to use frag plugs on the market today. They come in two different sizes and fit on any size or type of egg crate. They are made out of PVC so they will not leach anything into the water, and they will always sink. The FragPod I is the smaller of the two plugs. It has a 7/8" round top that is concave. This makes it great for use with SPS and stony corals. The base also sits above the egg crate to help keep the coral from growing onto the egg crate. The base of the FragPod I will fit into a 1/2" hole drilled into the live rock or is easily wedged between two pieces of rock. The FragPod II is the larger of the two plugs. It is 1 3/8" round with an impressed center and four holes for tying the corals on. This coral plug is great for polyps, zooanthads and mushrooms. The FragPod II is also easy to place in your reef once the coral is attached and growing. You can place it in a 5/8" hole drilled in the live rock or wedged between two pieces of rock.

FragPods are packaged with half FragPod I and half FragPod II's.

We recommend using a gel type super glue or fishing line to attach your corals and frags onto the FragPods. We have found super glue is the best glue to use with stony corals. As for soft polyp corals, light weight fishing line works best, and can be cut and removed once the coral is attached and growing.
