New version 2.0 of this kit now includes a check valve and you can add the
optional pH controller to make the system fully automatic! This set is designed
to get you started with CO2 injection. Included is everything you need to
connect to a 5lb CO2 bottle (not included) and begin CO2 injection for your
aquarium. This kit also now includes complete ebook instructions that will
be emailed to you shortly after your purchase.
This system can be semi-automatic. Just plug your CO2 Regulators Solenoid
valve into the same timer as your lights. The CO2 will be injected into your
aquarium while the lights are on and the plants are processing carbon during
photosynthesis. When the lights go off so will the CO2 and this will avoid
the night time pH drops. Check the box above to add the optional pH controller
for full control and to make this system fully automatic.
Setup of the CO2 system is explained in the included ebook. The ebook describes
how to set the bubble rate and estimate your CO2 concentrations from your
pH and dKH test results. It also details automating the CO2 injection with
the optional pH controller.
Advanced Components
CO2 Regulator - Solenoid Valve from Milwaukee Includes flow
regulator, needle valve, electronic solenoid & bubble counter. Unit comes
with dual gauges each with dual reading of both psi & kg/cm. Left gauge
meters tank capacity and right gauge meters flow. Needle valve flow control
provides for precise measurement. The solenoid valve comes with a 1.5 meter
power cord. 2 years limited warranty from Milwaukee Instruments.
Elite Check Valve from Hagen uses a high quality spring
style valve. This type has proven to more durable for use with co2 injection
and helps to protect the solenoid.
Glass CO2 Diffuser. This is an economical diffuser that
can efficiently disperse CO2. It creates tiny bubbles and works best when
placed low in the aquarium. This unit is larger than most other glass diffusers
and has more diffusion capacity for up to 100 gallon aquariums. This diffuser
is the "Japenese Style" using a ceramic diffusing disc.
We have also included 10' of Silicon Airline Tubing. This
is highly flexible CO2 resistant tubing and is perfect for connecting the
Regulator to the Glass Diffuser.
