What is the secret to getting great growth and coloration from your corals? Feeding! Feeding your corals a variety of plankton feeds will improve overall coral health. Adding suspension feeds such as amino acids can also have an impact on coral color. Feeding corals can be done by target feeding or broadcast feeding the entire aquarium. Most corals respond to feeding better after the lights are out. Turning off your protein skimmer and other filtration for 15-30 minutes during feeding will allow higher consumption rates for your corals.
